10.01.2008- 10.05.2008| illuminale BOSTON ...see Boston in a diffferent Light illuminaleBoston is a collaboration of 30 Boston based lighting designers who will light ten landmarks boston building and structures. Founded by Lana Nathe of Light Insight Design Studio, iluminaleBoston will be Boston's first ever skyline festival. All the buidling and bridges being illuminated are in the fort point channel and the financial district and the festivities will conincide with the offficial opening of the Rose Kennedy Greenway. The first lights will be switched on October 1st at dusk and will bring with it energy and vitality to Boston's new front garden. With light being a vitial building material for the 21st century, iluminaleBoston will definitely show off Boston's most prominent architecture in a new light. Omnilite is proud to announce the addition of Sean Goulding to our outside sales staff. A 1990 graduate of Northeastern University, Sean comes to Omnilite with a diverse background in the electrical industry.
His flexibility is high-lighted by over six years of sales experience with the General Electric Company in both the Lighting and Commercial & Industrial Divisions. During his time at GE, Sean held numerous positions where he gained experience in specification sales, distribution, contractor, enduser, and retail channel sales. Sean also brings a wealth of low voltage control system experience, developed specifically in the Boston marketplace. His early years in the specification market were focused on lighting control products such as dimming systems, occupancy sensors and relay-based control solutions. Additional specification sales experience was gained with Siemens Building Technologies, where he represented the fire alarm division to both the engineering and contracting communities. 04.14.2008 | New Employee Announcements - Jeff Landes Omnilite is proud to announce the addition of Jeff Landes to our outside sales staff. Jeff started his career with Penn Lighting Associates in Philidelphia, where he worked as inside sales coordinator for their specification sales team. It was here that Jeff learned the dynamics of the business, assisting customers with the application of products across a wide spectrum of projects. Jeff soon accepted an offer from Diversified Lighting to become an outside salesperson. It was here that Jeff garnered his reputaion of honest product edorsement, reliable information, and quick response. Wanting to experience a different side of the industry, he accepted a position with Litecontrol in 2000 as a regional sales manager. Jeff excelled at this, eventually being asked to cover key Western markets in addition to his Mid-Atalantic territory. In 2003, he was asked to join Kenall as their Eastern Regional Sales Manager, and he jumped at the opportunity. 04.14.2008 | New Employee Announcements - Ira Rothman, LCOmnilite is proud to announce the addition of Ira Rothman, LC to our outside sales staff. Ira started in the industry as an Electrical Consulting Engineer for eight years designing health care facilities, research labs, commercial office spaces, and a wide array of university and lower education facilities. Ira made the transition from design to sales and became the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Metalumen, a Canadian lighting manufacturer. In the last nine years, Ira has been working as a specification sales rep, the last six of which were spent in the Boston area. Prior to this, Ira was the president of his own sales agency.
Ira has developed relationships with Lighting Designers, Architects, Engineers, Interior Designers, Landscape Architects and Facilities managers at every level to become known as one of the most resourceful lighting salespeople in the greater Boston area.
